White Christmas: 10th December, 2021

Doors 19.00, performance 19.30

Dreaming of a white Christmas? Make it come true in the best way of all – come and join us to watch the incomparable Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and the lovely Vera-Ellen in White Christmas (U, 1954) singing and dancing their way through Irving Berlin’s unforgettable songs. At Christmas 1944 Captain Bob Wallace and Private Phil Davis are part of a show entertaining the troops when their much-admired commander General Waverly breaks the news that he has been relieved of his command. Back in the US after the war’s end and now a professional song and dance team, Bob and Phil discover at Christmastime that General Waverly is having a tough time running his hotel in Vermont. With the help of two equally talented sisters Betty and Judy, Bob and Phil immediately work out how to put this right. And the quest is a sheer delight to watch. Seen it before? It doesn’t matter how often you see it. You’ll still be as spellbound as ever. (Running time: 2 hrs)
